About Devon GP Collaborative

Devon GP Collaborative brings general practice together at county scale, protecting local practice independence while creating the collective voice, infrastructure and delivery capability needed to influence the system and take on opportunities no single practice or PCN could deliver alone.

Our story

How Devon general practice moved from locality collaboration to a county-scale collaborative owned by its practices.

What DCB is, and what it is not

DCB adds a county-scale layer to Devon general practice. It does not replace anything that already exists.
Practices remain independent businesses. Primary Care Networks continue to deliver neighbourhood care and hold their own contracts. The Local Medical Committee continues to represent GPs on contractual and professional matters. DCB works alongside all of them.
What DCB adds is the ability to speak with one voice at county level, and to hold and deliver work at a scale no single practice or PCN could take on alone.
Working alongside

The other organisations that matter

DCB is one part of a wider picture. If you are looking for representation on contractual or professional matters, workforce training, or the commissioning system itself, these are the organisations you want.

Work with general practice across Devon

DCB provides a single collaborative route into a network of 120+ practices and 31 PCNs, enabling co-design, mobilisation and delivery at scale while keeping services rooted in local primary care.
